1. What should I expect to feel during a treatment?
The techniques used range from physical to energetic and sometimes they are used concurrently. This allows me to employ techniques which are appropriate for each individual client as each client has their own unique condition.
Some of these techniques include:
♦ Positional release
♦ Range-of-motion exploration
♦ Isometric and isotonic techniques
♦ Gentle rocking
♦ Static holding
♦ Subtle or minute movements
♦ Postural re-education
♦ Work in the energy field of the body
♦ Cranial and visceral balancing
♦ Circulation and lymphatic balancing
I will be cautious and gentle, especially around any fore mentioned areas of discomfort... but please communicate feelings of pain or uneasiness.
2. Where will my session take place?
Your session will take place in a warm, comfortable and quiet room. You will lay on a table that is designed to be comfortable and lend support to your body.
3. What should I wear?
Come wearing comfortable clothing. Loose fitting pants/shorts are recommended for ease of movement. During the colder months, you may want to wear socks. It's all about being comfortable so come in your pajamas if you like!
4. What should I do after my treatment?
Drink plenty of water. Sometimes a treatment can stir up the nervous system so simply be mindful of how you are feeling and take it easy if you feel the need.
5. Are there any medical conditions that may make my session inadvisable?
Yes. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems, injuries and medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, we advise you to receive written or verbal consent prior to any session. Depending on your condition, written approval from your doctor may be required.
